Frequently asked questions

What is Picklecut?

Picklecut is an iPhone app that automatically turns your pickleball match videos into shareable highlight clips. It finds the rallies in your footage so you don't have to edit by hand.

Is Picklecut available yet?

Picklecut is coming soon to iPhone. If you'd like to try it early, email us to join the beta.

How do I get the best results when recording?

Place your iPhone in a stable position — a tripod or fence mount works well — with a clear view of the whole court. Good lighting and keeping the camera still for the whole match help Picklecut detect rallies accurately.

Can I use videos I've already recorded?

Picklecut is designed to work with match videos from your iPhone's photo library as well as new recordings.

How do I share my clips?

Open a clip and tap the share button to use the standard iPhone share sheet. From there you can send it in a message, save it, or post it to the apps you use.

Where are my videos stored?

Picklecut is designed to keep your videos on your device and in your control. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.

Picklecut missed a rally or cut one short. What can I do?

Rally detection works best with a clear, steady view of the court. If something doesn't look right, please email us with a description of the video conditions — your feedback helps us improve Picklecut.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting a clip or video in the app removes it from Picklecut. Deleting the app removes app data stored on your device. If you have questions about any other data, email us at hello@akarulabs.com.

Who makes Picklecut?

Picklecut is made by Akaru Labs LLC, a small independent app studio.
